The 2026 Festival de Rioja has wrapped. Thank you to everyone who spent the afternoon with us, and to the vendors and producers whose wines filled the glasses. The cooking was Victor’s own.

Once a year, La Vid gives its whole room over to a single region. For three hours on a Saturday afternoon, dozens of Riojas stand open at once — the classics alongside the modern and progressive — with Spanish cooking to sit beside them.
It is a festival in the original sense: an afternoon organized around one great subject. Rioja is Spain’s benchmark region, and that is an argument better tasted than read. Between glasses you'll meet what Crianza, Reserva, and Gran Reserva actually mean, and find the difference for yourself.
Victor cooks Spanish throughout: think tortilla española, Spanish bean soup, pan con tomate, and a pork dish.

- Dozens of Riojas across the region’s full range: the classics alongside modern and progressive producers.
- Do I need to know anything about wine?
- No. The festival is built for curiosity, not expertise. Ask about anything in your glass.
- Is there food?
- Yes, Spanish cuisine throughout. In 2026 Victor cooked dishes along the lines of tortilla española, Spanish bean soup, pan con tomate, and a pork dish.
