Who we are

This website, lavidtampa.com, belongs to La Vid Wine Bar, a wine bar and shop at 14610 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33618. “We” and “us” below mean La Vid.

What we collect

What you send us

• Newsletter signup: your email address. Nothing else is asked for.
• Private event inquiry: your name, email address, and guest count, plus anything else you choose to fill in: phone number, preferred date, occasion, how much of the room you need, wine and food interests, and notes.

What is collected automatically

• Analytics: which pages are visited, how visitors arrived (for example, from a search or a link in our newsletter), and which links are clicked, such as the phone number, directions, tickets, or our social profiles. This comes with general information about your device, browser, and approximate location, the kind every analytics tool records.
• Session recordings: how pages are used, such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse movement, so we can see where the site is confusing or broken. Text typed into form fields is masked, not recorded.
• Server logs: our hosting provider keeps routine logs (IP address, browser, the page requested, and the time) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

The analytics never receive what you type into a form. When a form is sent, analytics are told only that a signup or inquiry happened, never who sent it.

How we use it

• To reply to a private event inquiry and plan the event with you.
• To send the newsletter you signed up for: upcoming tastings, events, and news from La Vid.
• To understand which pages help people and which need work.
• To keep the site running, and to filter out spam sent through the forms.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who helps us handle it

A few services do the work behind the site. Each receives only what it needs for its part, and handles it under its own privacy policy:

Mailchimp (Intuit)

Holds the newsletter list and sends the newsletter. Signing up sends a confirmation email first; you are only added once you confirm.

Resend

Delivers private event inquiries from the website to La Vid’s inbox.

Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

Measure how the site is used.

Microsoft Clarity

Records how pages are used, with form fields masked.

Cloudflare

Hosts the website and keeps the server logs described above.

CARTO and OpenStreetMap

Provide the map tiles on the home, Wine & Food, and Visit pages. Your browser requests the tiles from them directly, which shares your IP address.

Links to Eventbrite, Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps, and review sites take you to those services, where their own policies apply. Buying a ticket on Eventbrite is handled entirely by Eventbrite.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect La Vid or others from fraud or harm.

Cookies

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set cookies to recognize a returning browser and to group page views into visits. The site does not set its own cookies for advertising or for any other purpose.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site still works without them. Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.

How long we keep it

• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
• Inquiries: in La Vid’s email for as long as needed to plan your event and keep reasonable business records.
• Analytics and recordings: for the retention periods set in Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, after which they are deleted automatically.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, using the link in any issue.
• Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, using the contact details below.
• Block cookies, or use the Google Analytics opt-out above.

Age

La Vid serves alcohol, and this site is meant for adults 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If what the site collects changes, this page will change with it, and the date at the top will show when.
