The CEO and President of Bodegas Valtravieso of Ribera del Duero will be here in person at La Vid doing a private tasting.

Valtravieso is an ultra-premium winery whose wines are distinctly representative of their terroir. They seek to achieve the highest quality in all of their processes, with minimum intervention in both the field and in the winery. A range of wines from 5 Denominations of Origin with very different climates and soils.

Valtravieso in Ribera del Duero elaborates wines born in a moorland, poor and shallow limestone soil at an altitude of 915m and with an extreme climate, constant winds and scarce rainfall. Our estate has unique characteristics that differentiate it from other areas of Ribera del Duero.

By practicing proper tasting technique you will be able to gain appreciation through proper tasting application of wine.

Grapes go through quite the process to become a glass of wine. Our Sommelier has carefully researched La Vids selection, and is prepared to share this knowledge with you specific to each tasting.

Just like a book, no bottle of wine should be judged from the outside of the bottle. Through wine tasting classes you may find your new favorite by random chance. Through personal conversation and feedback within a tasting our Sommelier will respond to your taste for other proposed wines of interest.
